I am an Iranian 4th year graduate student of anthropology at Yale, and I am on my way to Kabul/Afghanistan to carry out ethnographic research on the emerging notions of manhood and masculinity. I am not a US citizen, and the ban will not let me come back to the US. Doing fieldwork, however, is an integral part of our discipline, and traveling to different locations and sites is the norm in our field.
